Condensate Polishing--Purification Technology for Steam Power
By George Crits 1st Edition 2003, ISBN 0-927188-09-0, 312 pages, hard cover

About the Book
Power plant operators, performance engineers, and plant managers should find this book a useful guide for tips to continuous trouble-free operation that comes with a clean boiler or reactor. Condensate Polishing provides useful information for those who specify or design power plant filters, mixed beds, or condensate polishing equipment. Included in this book are references and technical CPP operating techniques, many which were developed by operating power plant engineers and chemists.

The technical information in this book has been compiled by author George Crits, who has more than 40 years experience in field and laboratory work, equipment design and manufacture, power plant startup/trouble shooting, sales, and consulting. The author has visited boiler plants, design engineers and Cochrane/Crane-licensed equipment manufacturers in the U.K., Holland, France, Italy, Germany, South Africa, Mexico, and Japan.

The text includes references and technical CPP operating techniques, many of which were developed by operating power plant engineers and chemists. A partial list of the CPP techniques and chemical data covered in the book include: ABRO, URC Resin Cleaner, Ammonex, high rate backwash/separation flowrates, and air assist, among others. This book is an educational resource on these and other techniques. Those who are interested in a high-efficiency CPP system will also benefit since the CPP purification and special regeneration techniques are covered from A to Z.
